What we’re about
Born in 2024, Automata was created with the need to grow and unify a scattered Drum & Bass scene in Barcelona while giving real opportunities to the local, uprising and unknown talent.
Promoting new talent has proven to make our scene stronger, more diverse and culturally richer, and that is the main goal of our project. To build that, we work with international artists, labels and promoters to strengthen and bond the scene from every corner.
We strongly believe that opportunities have to be given, despite superficial trends, to the hardworking culture, to the people that invest hours, challenge themselves and take risks to improve, despite any level of fame or skill.
We do believe in actions rather than words or looks.
Our final goal is to put our beloved city of Barcelona in the international Drum & Bass radar, and we will work for it with no rest. We will give tools to our upcoming talent to grow, and we do not care how much time it takes us to do so.
Building a strong local culture is important, but we do not limit ourselves. We want to collaborate with like-minded souls, that is why we have a lot of uprising national and international artists in our label and parties as well, because that’s how the city that saw us born is, a huge multicultural society.
We think diversity is the most powerful human virtue and that is why we embrace all subgenres of Drum & Bass, because that’s what makes it special. That is what makes us special.
