Session about MAPC's Basemap toolchain

MAPC recently started rendering and hosting its own Basemap, a map designed and optimized for the Boston Metro Area.

I'll go over the tools we used (MassGIS data > PostGIS > TileMill > TileStache > Amazon S3 > Leaflet) to design, deploy and serve the map tiles. It should be a ~1hr hands-on session, with some public data and open source tools you can use, and if everything goes well, an Amazon EC2 instance you can clone and use for your own map renderings.

Technically the third Thursday is June 21st, unfortunately we don't have a venue available for that date. If somebody can offer a venue (with WiFi), that would be great. Otherwise I would propose a week earlier, June 14th, and maybe we could open at 6 and start the session at 6:30pm?
