Trevor Lohrbeer spent 25+ years as a serial entrepreneur and senior software engineer before spending the past year shifting into “AI safety”—the study of how to stop bad stuff from happening with AI, where that “bad stuff” can be everything from mass disinformation or cyber-hacking campaigns up to autonomous AI warfare and the extinction of humanity itself. In this pursuit, he has taken the AI Safety, Ethics and Society course, participated in a 10-day training bootcamp called ML4Good, done consulting for EquiStamp/METR and Safer AI, and participated in the Pivotal Research Fellowship and Meridian Visiting Fellows programs.
