syzygy: a new way to cowork, collaborate & connect

Alignment is coming.
In the life of a remote professional, it is easy to feel disconnected and alone. We often travel the world looking for more than just a desk or a strong Wi-Fi signal. We are looking for alignment. This is the core of syzygy.

In astronomy, a syzygy happens when celestial bodies line up perfectly. In philosophy, it represents the union of opposites. In biology, it is how organisms bond to survive.

In our community, it is the moment when a creator, a collaborator, and a catalyst find each other. We believe that your best work and your best life happen when these forces are aligned.

What We'll Do

• Be Your Weird & Wonderful Self: Hang out with other people that are interested in hanging out with other people too. This is NOT business networking, pitching, or focused anything. It's space for you to be you, share what you do, and find others that want to do that too.
• 2-Minute SHO & Tell: Share a side project, a weird hobby, or that app idea you’re tinkering with and tell us who you want to connect with. Pre/non-revenue stuff only. This isn't a sales or business pitch. (SHO for Side projects, Hobbies, and Other stuff you do)
• Impromptu Business Jam Session: You'll join a group of randos to create a fake startup. No pressure, no risk, just playing around with others because it's fun to have fun.
• Coworking Matchmaking: Find local folks to work with at your house (or theirs) so you can finally stop talking to the walls. Or you can meet elsewhere. The connecting with other people is what matters.

How Syzygy Works
Syzygy is a new platform built to facilitate these moments of alignment through three practical layers:

• Coworking: Discover local spots to work alongside other members of the community. We help you find the places where the "remote" experience becomes a shared one.
• Collaboration: We are building a directory of active side projects. You can browse for new ways to lend your skills or post your own project to find the partner you have been missing.
• Connection: We connect you to local events that are specifically not about networking, business, or pitches. These gatherings are for interesting people doing interesting things to find each other without the pressure of a professional ROI.

Humans First
We are hosting an evening to share this idea, present the new online platform, and foster human connection. This is an experiment in alignment and an invitation to an evening of sharing, open conversation, and exploring the potential we have beyond our professional pursuits.
