5,000 Nomads Walk Into A Brewery...
Details
Five years ago, a few remote workers had a wild idea: what if we actually left our homes and talked to humans? Look at us now.
Time for a Birthday Party!
AVL Digital Nomads has grown into the largest and most impactful remote work community in the country — and we're celebrating the way all good things should be celebrated: with beer, a food truck, and zero mandatory icebreaker games. You're welcome.
By the numbers (since you asked): 575 events. 18,000 attendee registrations. 70 organizers. Nearly 5,000 nomads and counting. $400M annual estimated employment income impact.
This community has never been run top-down by some committee in a boardroom. It's been built by you — the organizers, the regulars, the lurkers who finally showed up, and the newcomers who are about to discover their people.
Developers, designers, consultants, writers, founders, freelancers — somehow we all ended up in Asheville, chasing that life/work integration dream. Turns out, we're not alone. Not even close.
We're heading back to where it all started: Wedge Brewing on Foundy St. — our original stomping ground. Find us out back with picnic tables, name tags, and good vibes. A food truck will be onsite because celebrating on an empty stomach is a tragedy.
No pitch decks. No panels. No "synergizing." Just a genuinely great group of people celebrating five years of proving that remote work doesn't have to be lonely — especially not in Asheville.
Grab your spot. Bring a friend. We'll bring the cake.
See you there, nomad.
