🍝 Asheville Foodie Supper Club: First Stop, Italia! 🇮🇹

I’ve been wanting to create something a little different for Asheville Digital Nomads, something smaller, more intimate, and centered around one of my very favorite ways to bring people together. Food. 😁

So, I’m officially launching the Asheville Foodie Supper Club, a monthly culinary adventure where a small group of us will gather around a table, explore Asheville’s ridiculously good food scene, and actually have time to get to know one another.

We’re kicking this thing off with Italian. 🇮🇹🍝🍷

Our first stop is Strada Italiano in downtown Asheville, a cozy Old World-style trattoria serving regional Italian cuisine inspired by both Northern and Southern Italy. Think house-made pasta, risotto, seafood, Italian classics, good wine, and the kind of food that makes you very happy you did not stay home and eat something responsible. 😆

Each month, we’ll choose a different foodie theme. Italian one month, Korean another, Thai, Indian, Mexican, burgers, pizza, seafood, Mediterranean, tapas, and whatever other interesting culinary rabbit holes we decide to wander down.

But the food is only half the idea. The real purpose of the Asheville Foodie Supper Club is to create a different kind of social experience.

Instead of standing around at a larger event having snippets of conversations with 20 different people, we’ll sit around one table with just 8 to 12 of us. We’ll eat. We’ll talk. We’ll laugh. We’ll hear each other’s stories. We’ll linger over dinner and hopefully turn some of those people we recognize from Meetup into people we actually know.

The intention of this event is to meet interesting people, discover really good food and local restaurants, and enjoy conversations that have enough time to go somewhere.

🍷 A Little Supper Club Fine Print

This event is intentionally limited to 12 people, and unlike some of our larger gatherings, this one requires an actual restaurant reservation.

So please only RSVP if you genuinely intend to come. Don’t grab one of the 12 seats as a “maybe.” If something changes, no problem, just update your RSVP as soon as possible so someone on the waitlist has a chance to join us.

Because when there are only 12 chairs at the table, every chair matters.

Strada also offers a nice range of gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free options, so our first Foodie adventure should have something for just about everyone.

Come hungry and ready to connect with some fun and friendly new humans over a yummy meal together.
