Chill & Chat - Friendly Ambitious Nerds

Come meet other Friendly Ambitious Nerds. Curious, kind, intellectually playful people who enjoy exploring interesting ideas and learning from one another.

Most of the evening will be relaxed, free-flowing conversation about cool ideas, big questions, unusual interests, projects, and whatever else people have been thinking about lately. Newcomers are very welcome, and you do not need to be familiar with any particular writers, communities, or schools of thought to join.

We’ll also make time for optional “gem sharing.” A gem can be anything that has made a real impression on you or that you think others might appreciate: a website, book, movie, essay, piece of software, work of art, idea, or strange internet rabbit hole. You can share casually from your seat or, if the venue allows, put something on the screen. No formal presentation or advance preparation is expected.

I’m hoping to host this meetup at a new co-working space, where we should have access to a screen and space for pizza and drinks. If that venue is unavailable, we’ll meet at a nearby brewery instead. I’ll confirm the final location here on Meetup on Monday.
