Hashing Into the Sunset (Allegedly)
Nobody else wanted it, so your Saturday hares are Crotches (aka Flipper) and Sicilian Family Portrait. Let's just say this trail was planned in haste.
We're chasing the sunset to the top of something in North Asheville. Where? That's for us to know and you to stagger toward. Experts are calling it a "spectacularly shitty sunset." Clouds? Haze? An uninspiring smear of beige? Nobody knows. You'll be up there anyway, holding a beer, looking west, pretending it's gorgeous.
📍 Start/Finish: Weaver Park, North Asheville (A-A as stuttering Canadians say) probably. Updates to follow.
🕔 Hares away: 5:00 PM sharp. Pack away around 5:15.
🌇 Sunset: 6:43 PM. Get on top or miss it.
🍺 Beer stops: Maybe two. Maybe one plus a shot stop. The hares haven't decided and frankly may not before Saturday.
📏 Distance: About 4 miles, with a hill at the end because we're hares, not monsters... okay, we're a little bit monsters.
🔦 Bring: A flashlight (or a fleshlight; we're not here to judge, but only one helps on the way down in the dark). Plus layers, since it'll drop into the 40s after sundown.
