Unplugging & Reconnecting

Details

Greetings all,

My sincere apologies for the lack of groups over the past month.

For this next discussion, I'd like to talk about the importance, I feel, of unplugging and reconnecting. By reconnecting, I mean with this earth. During my journey over the last 10 months, I began to see the pitfalls of social media, and the time many of us spend at times glued to our phones and other devices.

Everything attached to our phones is a stimulant in some way shape or form. It keeps our minds racing. Once our minds are hyperactive like they can be when constantly looking at these devices, it makes it more challenging to filter out the noise and listen to that inner guidance which is always there for us. That's not to say the devices we have around us are not helpful. It's when we begin relying on them so much that they become a crutch, and it's then that we find ourselves moving away from our own internal gifts.

It was when I began unplugging from all the devices that I could, and allowing myself to be surrounded by nature -- that was when I was able to see the true connectivity of everything that surrounds us each day. It allowed me to see the beauty in the simplest of things. Once I was able to do that, it was as if a whole new world had been presented to me. One in which I found myself in a constant flow. A flow which at times feels like following the fabric of this universe. Following the thread that connects each one of us.

Once in that flow, it became so much easier to live a life of joy and love. That's not to say there aren't days which are challenging or difficult. But it allows one's self to put things in perspective. Realize that everything in our lives is a season. And seasons change.

Looking forward to connecting once again with all those who are able to join!

-- This will be a zoom event. I am actively still looking for a space to have a group in person. I would like to plan one in the near future, but want to make sure I give enough heads up so more people have an opportunity to attend.

All the best,
Eric
