What we’re about
Welcome to the Awareness Practice Collective, where we come together to weave a vibrant tapestry of diverse awareness practices.
The intention is to offer a rich array of pathways for self-discovery and spiritual growth, encompassing a wide range of modalities.
True awakening is not confined to a single aspect of our being; it is the embodiment of awakened and coherent awareness across all facets of our existence — the body, mind, heart, soul, and spirit. While seated meditation provides a secure container for practice, our awareness does not evaporate beyond the boundaries of the meditation cushion. There is a calling to infuse our practice into every facet of life, whether we are seated, walking, dancing, listening, speaking, thinking, feeling, or engaged in action. The invitation is to cultivate a state of consistent mindfulness and embodied presence in solitary and in relationships.
In the tapestry of true humanity, every shade of awakening is cherished, and the unique ways in which individuals learn and evolve are celebrated. From the tranquil depths of seated meditation to the rhythmic poetry of moving meditation, from the sacred mat of yoga to the liberated realm of conscious dance, and from solitary contemplation to the profound connection of relational dialogues — each thread weaves its own story of wisdom and wonder. Personally, I have discovered incredible support and growth through these various disciplines, and my aspiration is to create the same opportunities for others.
Within our family of awareness practices, you will find opportunities for:
- Seated meditation practices
- Moving meditation practices
- Conscious dance practices: Open Floor, 5Rhythms, Continuum Movement, and more
- Conscious communication practices: Authentic Relating, Circling, and Nonviolent Communication, and more
We acknowledge that we cannot undertake this important journey alone. We rely on one another to grow, heal, and cultivate a sense of belonging. Let us become clear mirrors, reflecting each other's inner light and walking this path of awakening together.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or comments.
May you be at home with compassion,
Qibei

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝟓𝐑𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦𝐬®:
Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness, and awareness into action. Wherever the 5Rhythms® are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe space for each of us to relinquish the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, wild part of ourselves that yearns to be free. Creativity. Connection. Community.
