EdTech Experience Meetup – Exploring XR in Education

Hello AWE Nites Community in Amsterdam,

Nice to e-meet you all!

Please give me the chance to introduce myself! My name is Shant Bayramian, a Lecturer and Innovation Manager at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences' Creative Business Faculty. I primarily work on integrating XR content production in our education and also utilizing XR as a pedagogical tool! Moreover, I will be leading the AWE Nites Amsterdam local events to bring XR and immersive media professionals, academics, educators, and enthusiasts together to discuss and collaborate on all things XR!

Since we are an educational institution, a lot of the events we organize in conjunction with AWE Nites will be focused on the usage of XR in education for various fields (e.g., health, creative products, engineering), but also for education and research. We love to work closely with industry professionals to bring novel solutions to our world!

With that being said, we are currently busy organizing a larger event in Spring 2025 where we aim at bringing professionals, researchers, educators, and students in one space.

For now, our team is organizing an EdTech (educational tech)project showcase and networking event in the brand-new Inholland building in Sluisbuurt! Educators and industry professionals from the XR community will be showcasing their projects on the usage of XR in and for education. Above all, we would like to form this community and meet each other, share knowledge, and support one another. We will conclude the morning with lunch and an optional tour of the new campus.
