XR Conversation - Accessibility and Visual Impairment

Details

Join us for a conversation with Jonathan O'Duffy, an XR designer forced to adapt his process, tools, and very identity as a result of an eye injury. Jonathan will share his unique story, reflections, and the lessons he learned in going from being fully-sighted to functionally blind and back again as his vision has slowly healed over several years.

This event will be structured as a facilitated discussion starting with Jonathan's story and broadening into other topics as guided by the audience.

Jonathan is an XR designer at Virtual Therapeutics. Before joining VT, he completed research using XR to teach physical skills and treat traumatic brain injury, stroke, and Parkinson's disease at the HITLab NZ in Christchurch, New Zealand.
