AWE Nites Vancouver is returning!

AWE Nites will once again bring together the AR/VR/MR communities in Vancouver, with the return of local AWE Nites events. Tom Bourret
Thomas is an AR Product Specialist at Meta based in Vancouver, BC and Co-Founder of the AR agency Simone. With a background in VFX, he has been specializing in 3D animation while creating bespoke AR experiences for clients such as Dior, Disney, MAC cosmetics, Pandora. At Meta, he is currently working within the Creative Shop pushing the boundaries and visuals of what can be done in social AR, leveraging the overall quality level to offer the best experience possible.

Emerging Media Lab
The University of British Columbia is home to the award-winning Emerging Media Lab where faculty, students, and staff from all disciplines collaborate with industry to develop teaching and learning tools using technologies like augmented and virtual reality.

Join Saeed Dyanatkar, and Dr. Patrick Pennefather for an introduction to the Emerging Media Lab and its projects.
