☀️🏐 Shibuya dodgeball is back!

We will be on the roof of Miyashita Park on the sand court and will hang out on the roof afterwards! It's THE best court, outdoors, in the middle of Shibuya, with spectators cheering us on (usually just taking videos). Please join us for a drink or two (or four) after the game! 🍻🍻🍻

**I really am bringing a bunch of people from another invite**

I'm guessing most people know about Miyashita Park but if you don't - it's a four story shopping and entertainment center right next to Shibuya station with a large park area on the roof.

🍻 There are lots of food options and a nice brewery on the third floor (for after the game).

***Very important note:

The park rules require that everyone who plays will need to write down their name and address BEFORE you play. I will have the sign in sheet with me on the court, so check with me first.

After your information is given to the office (via me) ONE time you won't have to do it again.

🏐 How to Join

• Just be on the roof a little before the start time. We will be on or near the sand court (easy to find) and can usually enter 10 minutes early.
• Find the guy with the clipboard and sign in.
• 2000 yen per person.
• Be prepared to lose your dignity :)
• If you have any questions please do not ask the park staff. Just ask myself or someone in the group.
• There are changing rooms with showers at the park office next to the court.
• No special shoes or equipment needed, but if you wear glasses then contacts are strongly recommended.

If you're in IT, software dev, web dev, or tech in general and want to meet like-minded people, join us every Sunday at Freeman Cafe! It's right across from Miyashita Park and very close to Shibuya Station (exit B3 is a minute from the cafe).

This event is free, but you will need to buy something from the cafe.

All levels are welcome and hopefully we can build a community where we can share our projects and give/get help from friends. By the way, have your laptop charged if you want to work on something as there aren't outlets at the tables.

Space is very limited, so please be sure to cancel your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make it.

小学校の体育館を借りて、週に２回のペースでアメリカ式のドッジボールを楽しんでいます。

ゲームの後には、楽しい仲間と一緒にバーへ移動して、飲み物を楽しみながら盛り上がりましょう！東京で新しい友達を作る絶好のチャンスです！

初心者でも、ドッジボールの経験がある方でも、どなたでも歓迎します！🙂

ボールはクッションボールを使うので、当たっても痛くありません！.

入口は西の方です。入ったら右に曲がって、体育館が眼の前です。

・コンタクトレンズ（ボールが当たったり、落としたりして、メガネが破損する恐れがあるので、コンタクトレンズの着用をおすすめします）

補足:
・学校には18:30まで入らないで下さい
・19時ごろ初回参加の方にルールを説明します。
・学校のスタッフの方にはしっかりとあいさつをしましょう！
・また、体育館とトイレ以外には立ち入らないようにしましょう！

Come out and play some American style dodgeball in Shimokita and hang out with us at the bar after the game! It is hands down the best way to have fun and make friends in Tokyo :) All are welcome!

I really am bringing people from another event! This is not like other meetup events where "organizer +50" is untrue!

The beauty of dodgeball is that everyone is terrible their first time. Any other sport - football, badminton, volleyball, etc - people have been playing their whole lives. Sure, when you join us you find that some of us have been playing for a few years now, but everyone was bad their first time and you will be too. No one expects you to be good and we tend to go a little easy on new players.

AFTER THE GAME

Half of dodgeball is not even the game itself! After the game we will hang out at Good Heavens in Shimokitazawa. It's an awesome British pub with great food and drink. Please join us as it's the best way to make new friends!

Honestly, I care more about building a community than just showing up and throwing balls. We're at 14 dodgeball marriages so far for a reason, and if you're single and looking maybe you'll be next!

DIRECTIONS

Daita Elementary is very close to Setagaya-Daita station on the Odakyu line, and pretty close to Shimokitazawa station. The school entrance is on the West side of the school (make sure you check the photos). After you enter turn right at the first hall and take off your shoes. The gym will be in front of you.

• INDOOR SHOES (You have to take off your outdoor shoes) You can wear socks or go barefoot but please buy shoes if you come often.
