It’s the Year of the Fire Horse on the Chinese calendar—come celebrate in the heart of Chinatown as we experience one of New York City’s most colorful traditions: the Chinese Lunar New Year Parade!
Before the parade begins, we’ll gather for an authentic dim sum brunch at a classic Chinatown restaurant.
Dim sum is a traditional Chinese breakfast/brunch featuring small plates served in rapid-fire succession—steamed and fried dumplings, buns, noodles, meats, pastries, and more. (Please note: this is not a vegetarian-friendly meal.) Our dim sum host will place the order for the group and will do their best to accommodate any special requests.
After brunch, we’ll take a short walk through Chinatown before heading over to enjoy the Lunar New Year Parade.
The food is amazing, the energy is unforgettable, and the atmosphere alone is worth the trip. If you’ve never done this before, you’re going to love it!

Special Note (Please Read)
The dim sum restaurant does not accept reservations. It is extremely important that everyone arrives on time so we can put our names on the list together. Chinatown dim sum spots can be chaotic, crowded, and loud, and there may be a wait before we’re seated.
Please also expect to wait again once we arrive at the parade viewing area.
Food will be pre-ordered (again, our apologies—this is not a vegetarian-friendly meal).

Cheong Fun (rice noodle rolls)
Dan Tat (egg tarts)
Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings)
Chun Juan (spring rolls) – crispy rolls filled with vegetables or meat
Jin Dui (sesame balls) – fried sweet rice balls coated in sesame seeds
Pai Gwut (steamed pork ribs) – rib tips steamed with black beans and oil
Shrimp Noodle Rolls (Har Cheung) – shrimp wrapped in a rice noodle sheet with soy sauce
