AZ would like to welcome Kat Barron, from holdyourselfsacred.com, in a Deep Dive where we explore Body Liberation 101.

How do you hold your body sacred in a world that constantly tells us that our bodies aren't good enough?

How do you make peace with and love your body as it is (and yourself as you are)? How do you release body shame and embrace body appreciation? How do you live as vibrantly and as joyously as possible in the body you have?

In this Deep Dive, Kat will share her story and some of the helpful things that she has learned in the 28+ years of her body celebration journey.

Bring a notebook to journal in. There will be a guided meditation and you may want to jot down any messages you receive. You may also want to have some art supplies handy to create some body affirmation cards and/or write love letters to your body. There will be some awareness exercises and a Q&A.

The goal is for you to leave this Deep Dive with a new appreciation for and respect/reverence for your own body and the bodies of others. Please join us!

About Kat:
Kat Barron has been a massage therapist and energy healer since 1994, which is the same time that her journey into body acceptance/celebration/reverence began. After decades of dieting and brutally damaging beliefs about her own body that impacted every area of her life, Kat read a book called When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies (Hirschmann, Munter) - and then another book called FAT!SO? - Because You Don't Have to Apologize For Your Size, by a woman named Marilyn Wann (who has since become Kat's very dear friend) - and these books started her down a whole new path and a very different relationship with her body.

Over 28 years later, after countless conversations, books, workshops, and conventions - Kat is now a fierce advocate for body love as well as body autonomy/respect/reverence/kindness/liberation/positivity. You can find her at https://holdyourselfsacred.com/, where she offers nurturing support for people in the areas of body liberation, self-love, and sacred sexuality.
