Details

Type: Service How To | Level: 300

In this session we will show you how to build the right network security architecture to protect your Internet facing apps from the bad guys. AWS offers a wide variety of security services to provide customers the ability to build a defense-in-depth strategy for security and inspecting traffic, but it can be daunting to put all the pieces together. We will dive-deep into the various use cases and reference architectures for stitching together AWS Shield, AWS WAF, Elastic Load Balancing, AWS Network Firewall, Gateway Load Balancer, Security Groups and NACLs to protect the edge of your AWS network from advanced threats and DDOS attacks.

What you'll learn:

  • How to protect your Internet facing apps with AWS security services
  • Design considerations for an effective firewall deployment
  • Build a defense-in-depth strategy for securing inbound traffic on AWS

Speaker(s): Tom Adamski, Principal Solution Architect, AWS; Nick Coval, Principal Networking Specialist, AWS

Who Should Attend: Network Security Architect, Cloud Security Architect, Director/VP of Infrastructure/Cloud/Operations/Security/Network Engineering
