AWS Brighton User Group Meetup #17 - Once Upon an Agentic AI
Details
Join us for Meetup #17 of the AWS Brighton User Group, where you will get hands-on building AI agents using Strands - the open-source Python framework from AWS for creating agents that can reason, use tools, and work together.
Bring your laptop to follow along with the workshop, which takes you on a progressive quest from summoning your first AI agent through to orchestrating multi-agent systems.
You will learn how to create and configure agents, equip them with built-in and custom tools, connect to external services via Model Context Protocol (MCP), and build Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication patterns.
This workshop is accessible for anyone with basic Python knowledge. You can read up about the workshop ahead of time here.
Don't fancy getting hands-on? Pop along anyway and network, and learn about AI agents on AWS.
Don't have a laptop you can bring? We will team you up with someone who does, and should have a couple of "spares" too.
No need to have an AWS account - we'll set you up with a sandbox environment so you don't have to worry about the AWS bill either. You will need an AWS Builder ID to access the sandbox environment, which you can set up here, or we can help you during the workshop.
RSVP now for this free event, where you can network with peers, learn from our distinguished speakers, and enjoy free beer and pizza courtesy of our sponsor, Logicata.
