AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) is an open-source framework that enables developers to harness the power of familiar programming languages to define reusable cloud components and provision applications with those components. In this session, we quickly cover the basic concepts of AWS CDK, then we will code an application to see how easy it is to configure your cloud resources, manage permissions, connect event sources for our serverless app, and even build and publish your own constructs.

We will finish with a chat about the upcoming roadmap and the resources you can use to get started contributing to the growing community who are helping create the AWS CDK.
