Dr. Inam Ullah Khan is a distinguished academic and industry leader, celebrated for his extensive contributions to Artificial Intelligence, Artificial General Intelligence, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Routing Protocols, Intrusion Detection Systems, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Evolutionary Computing. He is the founder of AI-Explain Your Science (AI-EYS) and a Senior Member of IEEE, with affiliations that showcase his influence in the field. These include memberships in the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Systems Council, and various IAENG societies focused on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Internet Computing and Web Services, Information System Engineering, Scientific Computing, Software Engineering, and Wireless Networks.
Dr. Khan currently serves as a Mentor in Artificial Intelligence at Corvit Systems in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He is also a Global Mentor and Guest Lecturer at Impact Xcelerator, School of Science & Technology, IE University, Madrid, Spain, and a Trainer at the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NVTTC) in Pakistan. His previous roles include serving as a Visiting Researcher at King’s College London, UK, and holding faculty appointments at several prestigious universities in Pakistan, including the National University of Technology, Islamabad; Center for Emerging Sciences, Engineering & Technology (CESET), Islamabad; Abdul Wali Khan University (Garden Campus and Timergara Campus); University of Swat; Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), Islamabad Campus; and the Riphah Institute of Systems Engineering, Riphah University, Islamabad Campus.
Dr. Khan holds a Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering and an M.S. in Electronic Engineering from Isra University, Islamabad Campus, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, Pakistan. His M.S. thesis, titled "Route Optimization with Ant Colony Optimization (ACO)," was published as a book in Germany and is available on Amazon. He has also completed the Huawei Technologies Pakistan Train the Trainer (TTT) Program.
With over 50 research articles published in reputable journals, conferences, and book chapters, Dr. Khan has made significant scholarly contributions. He has edited around 20 books on various topics and remains actively involved in organizing academic conferences. He has served as a Technical Program Committee member for several prestigious international conferences, including the EAI International Conference on Future Intelligent Vehicular Technologies in Islamabad, Pakistan; the 2nd International Conference on Future Networks and Distributed Systems in Amman, Jordan (2018); the International Workshop on Computational Intelligence and Cybersecurity in Emergent Networks (CICEN’21), held in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies (EUSPN2021) in Leuven, Belgium; and the International Workshop on Intelligent Systems for Sustainable Smart Cities in New Delhi, India (2022).
In addition, Dr. Khan has played key roles in international conferences, serving as the Special Session Chair at the International Conference on Advances in Communication Technology and Computer Engineering (ICACTCE'22), where he led discussions on "Fusion of Emerging Technologies: Communication Networks & Future Applications." He was also a Technical Program Committee Member at the EAI MTYMEX 2024 in Vancouver, Canada, and continues to serve as a Guest Editor for numerous international journals.
In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Khan has frequently appeared on Pakistan National Television as a technology expert, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader. He has held several leadership positions in global conferences, including serving as the General Chair of the International Conference on Trends and Innovations in Smart Technologies (ICTIST’22), a role he currently holds for the 2nd ICTIST’24. Additionally, he was the President and General Chair of both the 1st and 2nd International Conferences on Emerging Trends & Innovation (ICETI).
Dr. Khan's educational contributions extend beyond academia. He has designed two specialized short courses—AI for Banking and AI for AI for Financial Institutes—at the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission in Pakistan. His impact on AI education is further solidified by the fact that three of his authored books will be used as course material nationwide. These books are titled: Cognitive Machine Intelligence: Applications, Challenges, and Related Technologies, Future Tech Startups and Innovation in the Age of AI, and Artificial Intelligence for Intelligent Systems: Fundamentals, Challenges, and Applications.
