Cloud Quest: AWS BuilderCards Challenge

Cloud Quest: AWS BuilderCards Challenge is an interactive, gamified learning activity designed to introduce CCIS students to the fundamentals of cloud computing and AWS services. Using AWS BuilderCards, participants explore how different AWS tools work together by “building” simple cloud architectures through card combinations.

The event focuses on hands-on, pressure-free learning using an individual gameplay format. Students draw scenarios, select the best AWS service cards, and earn points by completing beginner-friendly “Well-Architected” goals—no prior AWS experience needed.

This activity aims to make cloud concepts more visual, approachable, and engaging for beginners while encouraging problem-solving and curiosity about cloud technologies.
