This event is organized to promote mental health awareness, gender inclusivity, and shared responsibility among BSIT students through a seminar, open discussion, and community-oriented activities conducted in partnership with the Association of Information and Communications Technology Students. It aims to raise awareness of mental well-being through a Gender and Development (GAD) perspective while acknowledging how gender influences experiences, challenges, and access to support systems within the field of Information Technology.

The activity will feature informative talks, interactive discussions, and community-based initiatives that address mental health concerns commonly experienced by women, men, and LGBTQ+ individuals in academic and technical environments. In addition, a separate segment will introduce students to Amazon Web Services, providing foundational knowledge of cloud computing relevant to BSIT students. Participants, particularly those enrolled in NSTP–CWTS, will be encouraged to actively engage in discussions and reflect on their roles in fostering an inclusive, supportive, and gender-sensitive learning environment.

Through these activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of gender-related mental health concerns and learn how to apply these insights to real-life situations, community engagement, and everyday interactions. The program also aims to strengthen students’ sense of social responsibility and awareness of emerging technologies through collaborative learning.

Ultimately, this event seeks to empower students to become advocates of mental wellness, gender sensitivity, inclusivity, and equality, while nurturing a more compassionate, respectful, and supportive BSIT community within and beyond the university.
