🤝Join us for our opening workshop of the semester, AWS 101! During the workshop, you will learn how to set up a Linux-based web server on AWS. Presented by AWS Cloud Club at Rice.

🍔 Catering is provided. Chick-fil-A sandwiches will be provided for registered participants.

The workshop will be guided by the following Senior AWS Solution Architects in the process:
• Akhtar Hossain: a Senior AWS Solutions Architect with a focus in AI/Gen AI; his IT and Cloud Computing career spans over 25 years, in which he has worked a number of key positions with Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud.
• Ann Lu - Senior Solutions Architect specializing in helping partners and energy customers design innovative solutions on AWS.
• Shane Salter: an Oil and Gas professional and IT expert, whose focus on enterprise systems design & network/security infrastructure has shifted over the past decade towards Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

No experience? No problem! This workshop will teach you the basics of AWS, covering eight separate AWS services (VPC, SGs, IAM, EC2, SSM, ALB, S3, and ASG)!
