This is the opening event for the AWS Cloud Club at CCT. The Club is a student-led community that focuses on practical cloud skills, career development, and peer learning.
The session is open to all students who are interested in cloud computing, DevOps, data analytics, software engineering, or who want to meet peers and take part in collaborative projects.
Attendees will be introduced to the global Cloud Club initiative, learn how the CCT chapter will run this semester, and discover the opportunities available for participation. The event will highlight ways to contribute as speakers, organisers, or project members, and will give students a chance to share their interests for future activities.

Christopher Anich is a medical doctor from Chile and a postgraduate student at CCT College Dublin, currently completing an MSc in Data Analytics. He also holds a Higher Diploma in Computer Science and has more than ten years of experience bridging healthcare and technology. His work focuses on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data driven solutions for healthcare and education. He is passionate about building communities where students can learn modern cloud skills, collaborate on projects, and prepare for future careers in technology.

Matthew Altomare is studying Network and System Security at CCT College Dublin and is a core team member of the AWS Cloud Club. He has professional experience in customer engagement, operations, and workflow optimisation, where he developed strong skills in managing client needs and supporting fast paced environments. Earlier in his career he founded and managed a media company in Canada, gaining practical experience in entrepreneurship, business development, and project delivery while also working with web technologies, backend frameworks, and digital platforms. This combination of organisational and technical skills has shaped his ability to coordinate people, manage events, and oversee content. Within the AWS Cloud Club, Matthew applies this background to plan and deliver activities that provide students with opportunities to participate and grow.
