The Math Behind AI
Details
AI can feel opaque and abstract, but beneath it all is a set of structured mathematical ideas working together. This session is designed to make those ideas legible so you can better understand what AI models are actually doing, why they behave the way they do, and where their limitations come from.
In this talk, we will demystify concepts like matrices, learning, hallucinations, and why AI systems require so much computational power, including GPUs. The session is intentionally built for all backgrounds. You do not need a technical or mathematical education to follow along. If you have ever been curious about how AI really works, this talk is for you.
What to Expect
- A clear, approachable explanation of how AI systems actually work, designed for any experience level
- Q&A and networking
- Refreshments
