14:10 - 14:35 - Shani Kazaz & Guy Menahem - Manage Your Cloud Resources with Kubernetes using Crossplane, Argo CD and Kro

Cloud resource management at scale is a major challenge for many organizations. Traditional IaC tools often struggle to keep up with the dynamic nature of modern cloud environments. This is where Crossplane come in - Kubernetes-native solutions that are changing the game. These tools leverage Kubernetes' strengths in state management, continuous deployment, and templating to simplify cloud resource provisioning. By integrating Crossplane with Argo CD, we can create a true continuous infrastructure pipeline. This approach allows for real-time reconciliation, drift detection, and seamless updates. Kro takes it a step further by providing an abstraction layer, making it easier to manage resources at scale and template critical components. We will demo how to all of these tools can be combined to create k8s-based countinous deployment IaC environment using Argo CD and kro.

15:05 - 15:30 - Ori Nakar - Serverless ML Pipeline for Big Data Clustering

In this talk we are going to present a server-less ML pipeline which leverages AWS Athena and AWS Lambda for efficient clustering of large datasets, avoiding resource-heavy setups like Kubernetes. We will explain how we perform SQL-based distance calculations in Athena to optimize performance by reducing data transfer. We will also show a method for creating custom Python Lambda layers to package dependencies like sklearn into ZIP files, ensuring compatibility. This server-less approach offers scalable and efficient solutions for modern data pipelines.
