- Kick off the meetup with a warm welcome and a brief introduction to the evening's exciting agenda.Talk 1 - Agentic AI meets Serverless on AWS
- Description: In this talk we'll dive deep into various aspects of how Serverless and Agentic AI play together on AWS cloud. We'll explore Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway which transforms existing APIs and AWS Lambda functions into agent-ready tools, offering unified access across protocols, including MCP, and runtime discovery. We'll also explore Strands Agents and how to use it to interact with AgentCore Gateway. Strands Agents is an open source SDK that takes a model-driven approach to building and running AI agents in just a few lines of code. We'll deploy our agent with the help of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime which provides a secure, serverless and purpose-built hosting environment for deploying and running AI agents or tools and look at the Observability, Memory and Identity features of the AgentCore.

- Description: This session introduces Strands Agents, AWS's new open source SDK that transforms how developers build and deploy AI agents. Moving beyond complex frameworks, Strands embraces a model-driven approach where powerful agents can be created with minimal code by defining just three components: a model, tools, and a prompt. The session demonstrates how Strands - named after the DNA-like linkage between models and tools - leverages modern language models' reasoning capabilities to autonomously plan steps and execute actions. Through architecture patterns, code samples, and live demos, attendees will learn how to build their first Strands and prepare it for production deployment.
