About the Speakers:
Currently a Senior Team Leader in Engineering at Rocket Mortgage, Gerrae Jackson implements innovative strategies that keep her team at the cutting edge of technological advancements. Gerrae began her tenure as an Associate Software Engineer, where she honed her technical expertise in full stack development. Her curiosity into the wonders of AI propelled her leadership of AI-fueled projects at Rocket. She is deeply committed to community service as a Program Leader for the Midnight Golf Program. She holds an M.B.A. from Wilmington University and a B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. Outside of her professional life, Gerrae enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. She is a passionate advocate for diversity in technology and seamless logistics. She finds joy in learning new things and expresses her creative side through DIY projects, crafting and cooking!

Blake Shaw is a Staff Software Engineer at Rocket Companies, where he champions innovation and collaboration. He spearheaded the launch of the company-wide Rocket Synopsis tool, transforming client interactions. Rocket Synopsis is a client interaction data platform that provides access to the source data for building bridges to nearly any client problem. Blake's work popularizing architecture decision records with the Advice Process and championing Event-Driven Architecture approaches exemplify his commitment to technical excellence. Outside of software, Blake enjoys yoga and supporting bat conservation, adding to his well-rounded perspective. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his wife and two daughters.
