AWS Storage + GenAI Workshop Project

Details
In July I am traveling to Japan and I'l be running an workshop for the Japan AWS Storage User Group. Since its a non-native English speaking audience I want to run it once to make improvements.
Business Use Case:
An engineering firm needs to audit and track public infrastructure for safety via drone arial footage. They have captured tens of thousands of images (eg. cracks in bridges) and have stored them within archives based on year and month.
As a Cloud Engineer you have been tasked to building a proof-of-concept where you can use GenAI to use natural language to retrieve an image from the archive.
You need to report back possible technical paths and technical considerations for this project.
What We'll be doing:
- Using Amazon Nova to generate images
- Using Amazon Nova to generate metadata for images
- Using Amazon Nova to generate a query against a PG database
- Deploying and populating a PGVector vector database
- Using Range header for Amazon S3 to extract a specific image
- Building and deploying a simple app for the agent to retrieve an image via natural language search.
This is Bring Your Own AWS-Account.
Attendance is capped at 50
