Kiro: The Agentic IDE That's Changing How Developers Build
Details
Abstract: Fresh off the excitement of re:Invent 2025, where Kiro was featured in every keynote, join us for an in-depth technical session on this agentic IDE that helps developers maintain flow while ensuring enterprise-grade code quality. In this session, you'll learn how Kiro accelerates your journey from idea to production through spec-driven development—a structured approach that transforms rough ideas into clear requirements, thoughtful designs, and actionable implementation plans before a single line of code is written. We'll demonstrate how to delegate and automate development tasks using Kiro's agent hooks, multimodal agent chat, and MCP support, showing you how Kiro's agents challenge you to think beyond the code and work alongside you to solve hard engineering problems with confidence. You'll also get a first look at Kiro's autonomous agent, a frontier agent that works independently on development tasks while maintaining context and learning from every interaction, plus Powers—specialized context and tools that load on-demand so you get exactly what you need without MCP context overload. Whether you're shipping enterprise software or authoring a Terraform template, this session will show you how Kiro is redefining what it means to code with an AI partner.
Who Should Attend: This session is designed for anyone curious about how AI is transforming software development—you don't need to be a full-time developer to get value from it. Whether you're an infrastructure engineer, cloud architect, DevOps practitioner, or IT professional who occasionally writes scripts and automation, you'll walk away with a clear understanding of how Kiro works and why it matters. Anyone with basic IT skills will be able to follow along as we explore how spec-driven development and agentic tooling are making it easier for technical professionals of all backgrounds to build and ship software with confidence.
