The AWS Sports AI Innovation Hackathon is a one-day, hands-on build sprint at CMU-Africa, co-organized by the CMU-Africa AWS Cloud Club and AWS User Group Kigali as the first-ever AWS Hackathon in East Africa.
Inspired by the global AWS World Sports Innovation Cup 2026, the hackathon focuses on AI, 3D movement data, and next-generation fan engagement, giving participants the opportunity to prototype innovative sports-tech solutions on AWS.

What's on the Agenda?
- Form teams and build solutions using AWS AI/ML services
- Work with sports data, 3D movement insights, and fan tech
