AI agents are moving from demos to production fast and AWS has quietly become one of the strongest platforms to build them on. Join the AWS Student Builders Group at Lakehead University and The AI Collective Thunder Bay for a hands-on session where we'll walk through what it actually takes to design an AI agent, wire it up to real tools, and deploy it to the cloud.

We'll cover the full arc: framing the problem an agent should solve, picking the right model and orchestration approach, giving the agent tools and memory, and then taking it from a local prototype to something running on AWS.

Expect a mix of live walkthrough and open discussion, bring your questions, bring your half-finished side projects, bring a laptop if you want to follow along.
Who this is for: students, early-career builders, and anyone in the Thunder Bay tech community curious about where AI agents and cloud infrastructure intersect. No prior AWS experience needed, we'll meet you where you are.

Light refreshments provided. Come say hi to us at AT1007 on the 25th of May!
