The evolution of data architectures has witnessed a series of paradigm shifts—from traditional databases to data lakes, and now, to data lakehouses. These lakehouses aim to combine the best of data lakes (scalability and flexibility) with data warehouses (performance and structure). Amidst this transformation, tools like AWS Glue and Apache Hudi stand out, proving essential in curating, managing, and optimizing these advanced data infrastructures.

This talk will give us an overview of data lakehouses, Hudi, and AWS Glue. From there, we’ll deep dive into how to get started on building a medallion architecture, graduating raw data to gold with Apache Hudi and AWS Glue.
