Open Mic Night: AI + Data on AWS
This month, the mic is yours. Share something you've built, broken, or figured out with AI or data on AWS. First-time speakers are welcome, and slides are welcome but not required.
Topic ideas: Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore and agents, MCP and Strands, RAG and evaluation, SageMaker AI, Redshift and Lakehouse, Glue and data pipelines, streaming with Kinesis, and data governance.
Pick your format:
• Lightning talk (5–10 min): one idea, one lesson, one tip you wish you'd known sooner
• Live demo (up to 15 min): show what you built, like an agent, a pipeline, or a dashboard
• Lessons learned (5–10 min): what broke in production, and how you fixed it
Have a question or idea you'd like to discuss ad hoc instead? Bring that too!
Claim a slot: add your topic to your RSVP, or message Patrick or Snehal. Slots are first come, first served. Have slides? Bring your laptop, or send them to us before the event.
Not presenting? Come listen, ask questions, and cheer on the speakers.
Schedule: Monday, November 16
6:00 PM ET: Doors open, with pizza, drinks, and light networking
6:30 PM ET: Welcome from our host (Improving) and our organizers (Patrick and Snehal), then open mic talks, about an hour in all
After that: a preview of our next meetup and a quick feedback round. We want these events to be frequent and valuable!
