We're back with another exciting presentation. This time, we're hosting Stefanos Boglou, Skroutz's DevOps lead. For the past couple of years, Skroutz has been migrating workloads from its data center to AWS, and in this meetup, we'll have the excellent opportunity to gain insights from their journey and see firsthand the benefits of a cloud migration!
Presentation Description
In this presentation, we will dive into our build and testing pipelines, how we approached the containerization of our monolith, what we gained from this, and the technical challenges we had to solve along the way, considering the size and build times we wanted to achieve. We also want to share our experience with the scalability of our test suite, how AWS helped us achieve SLOs that were unattainable in our on-prem infrastructure, and the lessons we learned from using ECS + Fargate and EKS + Karpenter setups.
