AWS moves fast, and it’s easy to lose the signal in the noise. This evening is designed to give you a crisp, practical recap of the most impactful AWS updates — with a strong focus on what you can actually apply in 2026.
Expect a session that’s practical, opinionated (in a good way), and interactive, with plenty of time for Q&A and networking.

Kindly hosted by Devoteam who will also be providing pizza and drinks.

## What we’ll cover (with AWS re:Invent 2025 highlights)

We’ll use AWS re:Invent 2025 as a backbone and zoom in on the announcements and themes that are most relevant for builders and architects:

  • Agentic AI & model customization
  • New model families and capabilities (speech / reasoning / multimodal)
  • Automation for UI/workflows and “doing work” (not just chatting)
  • What customization/pretraining means for real enterprises
  • Bedrock + RAG foundations
  • Agent deployment foundations: evaluations, policy controls, guardrails
  • Scalable vector/RAG building blocks and how to design them cleanly
  • AI infrastructure & custom silicon
  • Where training/inference is going (and what changes for cost/perf)
  • Graviton / Trainium direction and what’s practical today
  • Serverless & app workflows
  • More “stateful” serverless patterns (durable, long-running flows)
  • When to choose serverless vs containers vs managed instances
  • Security & trust
  • Moving from alerts → prioritized risk and near real-time detection
  • Identity policy automation and practical governance patterns
  • Operations, governance & modernization
  • Observability/ops improvements and AI help for ops
  • Modernization accelerators and how to use them without chaos
  • Developer productivity
  • Where dev tooling is heading (agents, automation, feedback loops)
  • Tips to keep teams productive while AWS keeps shipping

Takeaways: a curated “what matters” list, practical guidance (when to use what / when not to), and “try this next week” ideas you can bring back to your team.
