This session explores how StepStone scales machine learning systems to match job seekers with relevant opportunities using AWS infrastructure. Tim will share practical insights from building production ML systems for job recommendation and matching at scale.

In this session, the audience will learn:

* Deployment strategies for recommendation systems and LLMs in recruitment
* Cost optimization and performance tuning for ML workloads at scale
* MLOps best practices for production job matching systems on AWS

The talk will showcase real-world examples from StepStone's production environment, including lessons learned from processing daily job matches and optimizing ML inference for recruitment use cases.

Tim Elfrink
Staff Machine Learning Engineer at The Stepstone Group

Tim is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer and Chapter Lead at The StepStone Group, where he mentors 10+ ML engineers and leads major ML initiatives. He specializes in architecting and deploying machine learning systems for job matching and recruitment at scale using AWS infrastructure.

Tim regularly speaks at AWS customer conferences and PyCon/PyData about ML inference architectures and MLOps. With a Master's in Business Analytics from VU University Amsterdam, he brings extensive experience in production ML systems serving users across Europe.
