Title: Introducing Winglang - a new open-source programming language designed for the cloud

Second Talk
Title: Building an Intelligent Chatbot with AWS Bedrock
Abstract: Nowadays, conversational AI is becoming increasingly integral in enhancing customer experiences and streamlining business operations. As such, understanding how to develop and implement sophisticated chatbots using advanced platforms like AWS Bedrock is crucial for businesses and developers looking to stay competitive and innovative in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

This session focuses on the development of an intelligent virtual assistant using the robust suite of services offered by AWS, where the assistant’s main objective was to help the employees to perform question answering about the internal client’s information and policies, while keeping consistent a set of predefined business aspects. For this reason, a data source containing the client’s information was needed, as well as an Agent to retrieve that information in order to answer the performed question.

We will cover the whole data processing phase, their indexing in knowledge base and the foundational concepts of the chatbot technologies using the Amazon Bedrock agents.
We will walk through this application serving processing, using Amazon CloudFront, along with other services from the AWS services stack such as Amazon ECS and Application Load Balancer.

Security is a critical component of any AI application. Hence, the implementation of this Proof of Concept considered a security layer using Amazon Cognito, as well as the best practices by applying the principle of least privileges to the whole solution.

Bio: Yaniel Barbosa is a Data Scientist at Devoteam,where he leverages his expertise in developing AI solutions, ranging from classic to state-of-the-art approaches. His main technical fields of interest include Natural Language Processing (NLP) development, Reinforcement Learning, and Generative AI, all of which drive innovative solutions and enhance data-driven decision-making processes.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Yaniel enjoys spending time hiking and cherishes moments with family and friends, valuing the joy and balance these relationships bring to his life.
