The Backend Engineer is Dead 💀
Long Live the Backend Architect 🙌. Serverless is the pinnacle of shifting left and we've got (half) an engineering discipline that needs to re-learn how to architect their apps. This talk will discuss what we as backend engineers need to learn about event-driven architectures and offloading responsibility to build scalable and observable serverless apps, as well as what our organizations need to do to facilitate and promote the transformation.

Stampen's Journey into the Cloud
A look back on the factors that led us to make the move into the cloud. Our starting point, early experiences and glaring challenges along the journey as well as some happy accidents that led us down happy paths. This talk aims to share our reflections and lessons learned, as well as our current "state of cloud" and how we envision our path going forward.
