Trials and Tribulations of a Solutions Architect – or Gotcha Bingo
In this session, Henrik will walk you through the real-world process of building AWS infrastructure for a seemingly simple architecture. Using services like API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, CloudFront, and the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), Henrik will share the surprises, challenges, and “gotchas” that often pop up along the way.
From architectural decisions to deployment headaches, this talk highlights the practical lessons learned and common pitfalls that even experienced architects can face. Whether you're just starting with AWS or looking to level up your cloud architecture skills, you'll leave with valuable takeaways and maybe even a full “Gotcha Bingo” card.

Speaker: Henrik Lernmark - Head of AWS Cloud, Security Officer & Site Manager at adesso Sweden.
Henrik has been working with AWS since 2016 and leads adesso’s cloud team, specializing in secure and scalable solutions. He is an AWS Certified Security Specialty and Solutions Architect with a strong background in backend development using Python and Java. Henrik is a Certified Scrum Master and is experienced in DevOps practices and microservices. His technical focus areas include AWS, Java, Vaadin, embedded development, and cloud security.

Johannes has worked with AWS for many years and is a Senior Cloud Architect at Sigma Technology Cloud. He has a strong background in AWS architecture, infrastructure and DevOps methologies.
