Our Head of Cloud Aki Pehkonen will speak about how containers have become a de facto standard for packaging applications into a single artifact because they can be deployed consistently to multiple environments. In AWS, App Runner is the simplest way of running and deploying container-based web applications because it provides a fully managed, serverless infrastructure. This talk gives an overview of the App Runner’s capabilities and explains why it is an excellent service for anyone who wants to run containers in the cloud!

Our speakers:
Aki Pehkonen is a hands-on Cloud Architect helping Nortal clients in their cloud migration journey and adopting modern software development practices. Aki has been working in the IT industry since the early 2000s and holds professional cloud architect certifications for Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

Rami Keränen is a seasoned software engineer with 15+ years Industry experience. He values progress over perfection and is passionate about putting minimum lovable products into users hands. Currently he’s working at Wolt in AdTech for the 2nd year running.

Olli-Petteri Tuuttila joined Wolt six months ago and has thoroughly enjoyed his time there. That’s saying something, considering that he has amassed over two decades of experience in software development, holding various roles as a developer, architect, and consultant in B2B companies.
He is passionate about incorporating DevOps and a product-over-project mindset into daily work life and being part of a trust-based culture.
