Kate Johnsen
Kate is an Enterprise Solutions Architect, specializing in Data Analytics, who currently works at Amazon Web Services. Her professional focus is in Modern Data Analytics platforms, Solutions Architecture, Digital Transformation and Quality Management.
Kate has worked as an architect, developer, and technical project manager in various international projects prior to joining AWS. She has been architecting and delivering large international projects of strategic importance within Banking, Healthcare, Travel and Transportation.
In her free time Kate is passionate about Icelandic culture and the sagas. She includes horse riding amongst her hobbies and she is especially fond of the Icelandic horse.
Kate will talk about Modern Data Analytics on AWS:
A modern data architecture acknowledges the idea that taking a one-size-fits-all approach to analytics eventually leads to compromises. It is not simply about integrating a data lake with a data warehouse, but rather about integrating a data lake, a data warehouse, and purpose-built stores, enabling unified governance and easy data movement.
With a modern data architecture on AWS, customers can rapidly build scalable data lakes, use a broad and deep collection of purpose-built data services, ensure compliance via a unified data access, security, and governance, scale their systems at a low cost without compromising performance, and easily share data across organizational boundaries, allowing them to make decisions with speed and agility at scale.
Jón Arnar Jónsson
Director of Infrastructure and Security at Jiko the first Tech company to get a banking license in the US.
Lárus Hermannsson
Lárus is an AWS certififed Solutions Architect Professional at Andes with extensive experience in implementing AWS cloud solutions.
