Avoiding Security Breaches in AWS (45min)
There are a long list of security and compliance checklists for AWS that promise to make you more secure, but it can be pretty overwhelming. How do they stack up against a real world attack? What're the most critical controls needed to ensure that your estate is well hardened, and what can you safely ignore? Join Nick for a tour through the most common routes attackers take, backed up by real world breach data, and a discussion on how to prioritise your security engineering work.

Protecting data in S3 in a serverless way (30min)
Most of us store data in S3 in one way or another. Encryption of sensitive data is highly important. In this session we'll dive into how we can use AWS StepFunctions and KMS to encrypt / re-encrypt existing sensitive data in S3. We'll also take a look how we can setup detective controls to ensure our S3 buckets are all encrypted.
