Rod Murphy - Kitman Labs

Rod is going to talk about moving a legacy Ruby/Rails workload to a serverless implementation. With AWS Lambda now natively supporting Ruby, Kitman Labs recently took the opportunity to move their legacy Shoryuken SQS workers to more modern serverless infrastructure.

Hannah Healy - Intercom

Hannah will be talking about the fundamentals of Intercom's cost cutting program. As a large AWS customer this covers everything from the simple technical challenges of cost management to the cultural challenge of getting engineers to care about costs.
