"So... what actually IS a Community GameDay?"
We got this question a lot after our last post. Fair enough -- let's break it down.
A GameDay is a hands-on, team-based challenge where you solve real AWS scenarios under time pressure. No slides. No lectures. You and your team get dropped into a live AWS environment, and things start breaking. Your job? Fix them. Fast.
Think escape room meets cloud engineering.
The twist this time? Tampere won't be playing alone.
On March 17th, 50+ cities across Europe will play the exact same challenges at the exact same time. One synchronized event. One leaderboard. Your team in Tampere competing live against teams in Berlin, Bucharest, Lille, Vienna, and dozens more.
AWS put together a short video that shows what a GameDay looks like in action -- hit play and see for yourself.
Whether you're deep into AWS or just getting started, this is one of the best ways to learn by doing. Come solo or bring friends -- we'll form teams of 2-4 on site.
