Building Cloud Infrastructure with Code - past, present and CloudControl

Daniel Bradley from Pulumi will be taking a look at how deploying to AWS has evolved over the years, through the API, SDKs and CloudFormation. We'll also explore the inner workings of modern Infrastructure-as-Code implementations - Terraform and Pulumi - and how they're built and maintained right now.

Then we'll dive into CloudControl - a new API for managing the lifecycle of resources. We'll look at what it is, how it works and how it's likely to affect the future of Infrastructure-as-Code tooling. This will include some live coding and deployment to show this in action!

This talk is suitable for cloud infrastructure engineers and architects who want to learn about the latest trends and tools for provisioning infrastructure. It will provide attendees with insights into the benefits and drawbacks of different infrastructure provisioning frameworks and help them choose the best tool for their use case.
