In banking, developer freedom and regulatory compliance are rarely mentioned in the same sentence. At Danske Bank, we changed that by giving developers full autonomy on their own AWS accounts, enforced through layered guardrails combining native AWS controls and custom policy rules that make compliance violations structurally impossible. by Danske Bank
Amazon Athena–based API for Querying Terabytes of Data
This talk presents a real‑world example of providing SQL access for customers to a data lake containing terabytes of data. While the primary focus is on AWS Athena, the session also covers related AWS services such as Lake Formation and Glue. Additional topics include query permissions, query performance, query limitations, and cost considerations.
