πThis month we'll continue to discuss Generative AI building off last month's intro primer "AI for All" π€ with "Gen-AI for Programmers" and it's your chance to show off during Open Demos.
We'll have available time for you to give a 5-15 minute demo (via Zoom); or divulge in the conversation tangent of your choice.
Our scheduled demos for August 2023 include how to speed project development and code completion with Amazon CodeWhisperer π», and how to use Chat-GPT to aid you in CloudFormation creations for your Infrastructure as Code ποΈ.
Our Featured presenters this month are AWS AeroSpace User Group Leader Jacob Wright π¨βπ», as well as Cameron Lofy π§βπ».
Cameron Lofy has deployed multiple production AWS IoT workloads for Lora wan, cellular, satellite, and hybrid communications π°οΈ, architecting and developing applications end-to-end. Cameron builds highly observable stack using Amazon CloudWatch logs π©οΈ, Amazon SNS notifications π£, and AWS Xray π. Cameron is currently collaborating from Anaheim, CA on a project with NMSU scientists actively improving The ZiaMet Weather Station Network βοΈ. At X2nSat, Cameron actively collaborates with AWS Aerospace & Satellite support teams as X2nSat innovating on market solutions like their new Datadel service leveraged by ZiaMet.
ZiaMet is a New Mexico-wide mesonet that monitors surface weather conditions and sub-surface soil conditions. The network first began operations in 1985 and was maintained with minimal external sponsorship. By 2015, the NM Climate Center was able to secure sponsorship from the National Mesonet Program.
