There is so much hype, so much promise, but are we getting AI right? Responsible AI is often overlooked when rushing to build and deploy new features.
This month the AWS Canberra User Group will be discussing Responsible AI. We have assembled a panel of experts to share their knowledge and experience in the field with you.
This will be a broad discussion that covers both governance and implementation.
Our panelists include:

- Karthik Murugan, Head of Analytics APJ Public Sector, Amazon Web Services, Sydney
- Dr Yue Liu, Research Fellow, Australian National University, Canberra

Speakers
Anna Bohdanets
Anna has a previous background in law. She is presently conducting research in the areas of international law and AI governance at the AI and Cyber Futures Institute, Charles Sturt University.
Dhivya Kanagasingam
Dhivya is a specialist in Responsible AI and AI Governance, with a background in helping enterprise and public sector organisations navigate the risks and opportunities of emerging AI technologies. She brings practical experience implementing AI governance frameworks & translating ethical principles and regulatory guidance into real-world delivery.
Karthik Murugan
Karthik shares the passion for innovation in data and analytics fields. As part of World-Wide Specialist Organisation at AWS, Karthik leads AWS Analytics Services with focus on uplifting business value for Public Sector customers in Asia Pacific and Japan region.
Dr Yue Liu
Yue is currently a Research Fellow at Australian National University, before that he was a Research Engineer at CSIRO’s Data61. He received his PhD from University of New South Wales in 2024.
