SPEAKER 2
JAVIER MENDOZA, AWS - DEVELOPER

'Building Resilient Webhooks with AWS Serverless'

In this presentation, Javier will explain, in three parts, the challenges and provide a guide on how to implement webhooks in a serverless architecture. The first part will cover common issues with webhooks, such as sudden spikes in requests, changing payloads, delayed notifications, and lack of visibility. In the second part, we will discuss the initial approach used by the previous team to handle notifications from a third-party payment provider (utilizing API Gateway, Lambda Authorizer, Lambda, and DynamoDB). Finally, the third part will delve into the latest approach, incorporating improvements such as Step Functions, SQS, EventBridge, and AWS X-Ray.

Javier Mendoza is an AWS Community Builder in the Serverless category and is currently working as a Senior application Engineer on a popular ecommerce website which receives millions of users per day.

SPEAKER 3
EIMEAR LOUGHNANE, Slalom

‘Revolutionizing the Software Development Life Cycle with Amazon Q: From Code to Deployment with AI Assistance’

SPEAKER 4

* DON EDWARDS, AWS - Global Cyber Security Leader at Amazon Web Services
"Personalized experiences for AWS managed applications like Amazon Q, powered by AWS IAM Identity Center"

AWS managed applications like Amazon Q Developer and Amazon QuickSight are often used by workforce users who have no need for access to the AWS Console. However, those users benefit from enhanced user experiences that are aware of group memberships and other identity-bound attributes. In this session you will learn how AWS lets you extend your current enterprise identities into AWS managed applications using AWS IAM Identity Center, without the need to replace or duplicate your current workforce identities.

With thanks to sponsors, DoiT
